Finally the winter holidays arrived, which means I've got some spare time.
I have some Ideas and a half finished Collide ls theme mod to work on, and maybe I'll upload something in the next weeks. Also a new Avatar would be great.

So just a little sign that I'm alive...

Merry Christmas to everyone and a happy new year. ;)

Hey. :)

That's funny, because I visited your page due to your name being somewhat german. :D

I am using Rosetta Stone and I am also taking a class at college level for introductory German. My reasoning...well..I started wanting to learn German due to wanting to understand some music I listen to. The other reason is that my sister in law is from Germany, so she can help me study. I tried to take Spanish several times, and I knew no-one who spoke Spanish, so I was unable to study effectively, and I failed. My boyfriend also took 2 years of German, so he helps me study as well.

I also have a strange fascination with Nazi's. Not in that I want to be one, no no, I just find the whole idea odd yet interesting. I'm not sure there is anyway to say you like Nazi's but dont support them. I love history, and that being a part of history I enjoy it. o.O ~shrug~

I've heard of Rosetta Stone, it seems to be a good application to learn languages. :)

To which german music are you listening to? Rammstein? (Just assuming this because they are the most popular german band in the US, I think.)

Im not into languages, I am jsut able to speak German and English. But im interested in history as well, its my "Leistungs-Kurs" at school. This means that I have more lessons in history and it counts more for my Abitur, which is the german degree for university. ;)
The Nazi-Topic is really important in school, espacially in the lower classes, its discussed for a long time.. So in a way its boring for me.

Do you believe that you can already speak German well enough to write with me in German? :D

Currently it is Rammstein, yes. I am rummaging on the internet to try and find some places that I can download childrens music in German; perhaps something that teaches counting or colors.

I cannot seem to find any other German bands in the US. Spanish seems to be the dominate "other" language to find for music here; that and Japanese thanks to the influx of Anime and Japanese culture. (somehow it seems as though every teen wants to be Japanese now O_o )

Ah, Nazi things are a taboo thing to talk about in the US. Most regard even the word as an evil thing.

Well, my German is mostly limited to questions about where you are from, and what you like to do; I don't feel as though I could keep up a whole conversation, but I can at least introduce myself and be somewhat interesting. Pardon my grammar though, I am still working on that part. :)

Um...

Hallo. Main Name ist Danielle. Und Sie?

(i guess I shall leave it there, and let you respond, it will be good practice for me. :) )
